What To Wear On Valentine’s Day?

Get your confidence up
Tell ’em
I look good tonight
In colours of red and pink
With your fierce attitude
Strutting the streets like a runway
All eyes on you
Bask in the moment
It’s your time.

Valentine's Black Lace & Red Lipstick

The season of love and fashion is approaching, the hallmark holiday and fashion weeks around the world. Although I may not be celebrating valentine’s day, I enjoy writing about the four letter word, love. Bringing style tips and inspiration for your date night, dinner at home or girls night out, whatever the occasion, I got you covered.

Classic Lady
The theme of red and pink can get overplayed, although there are beautiful dresses in these tones, be the talk of the town and stand out in a sea of candyfloss. You can never go wrong with a classic, the little black dress – simple, classy and chic. Let your personality shine through styling. Add colour and detailing with accessories, makeup and shoes, have fun with it. I decided to wear a bold red lip and a have my hair in Beyoncé’s signature high ponytail. All I can say is my confidence was through the roof, I loved that feeling.

Turquoise Dream
It’s velvet, turquoise and a mini-dress if this doesn’t say fun and playful then I don’t know what will. Packed with flavour, sass and feel-good attitude, could this be your freakum dress? If you’re planning to go out during the day add a thin jumper underneath in neutral tones as the attention will still be on the dress. Find a similar dress over on missguided.

Mesh Beauty
Gifted to me on my 21st, not a style I would choose for myself but it could be an inspiration for you beauties. I like mesh just not on my stomach, it’s a beautiful piece though. Add a fun jacket or long coat to elevate the outfit, bring some warmth and much-needed boujee-ness. For jewellery, you could go in two directions, some dainty arm candy or chunky bangles like Cookie from Empire. Just a small reminder, whatever you decide to wear for the occasion, make sure you’re comfortable and confident. If you’re pulling down your dress every two minutes that’s insecurity, not a pretty look on anyone. Rock your best smile and enjoy the moment ladies.
