Selfie here, selfie there, however, in a digital age, I cherish having my memories in print form. Call me an old soul but it feels special to look at them in a photo album, collage, or a scrapbook. You can get creative with photographs, turn them into gifts, showcase them around your house, or simply have them for your pleasure. Whether for yourself, a friend or significant other, there are plenty of ways to showcase physical prints.
I recently had the opportunity of trying out Printiki, an online printing service that brings your beautiful imagery right to your door. I ordered 30 prints* in the square format with space for captions below each image. I’ve been obsessed with polaroids for a while, I’m surprised I haven’t bought a polaroid camera yet, it was great to get some prints in this style. I had the choice to upload images from Instagram, Facebook, or straight from my device, there were also many options to customise each image to my liking. I decided to print a range of images, from creative photography shots I can add to my art journal to images of loved ones reminding me of special memories. I got the opportunity to preserve moments that were close to my heart in print format rather than rely on technology, which was a bonus. Overall the order process was quick, easy and simple. I would highly recommend it if you were thinking of getting some prints.
If you need inspiration, head over to the Printiki Instagram, sharing all the different ways people have used their prints. Two examples are decorating a dorm room and creating a vision board in order to motivate oneself whilst at work. Let your creative side run wild and watch the results, it may surprise you in a positive way. Are you ready to take the leap?
What do you prefer, a digital image or a physical print?
Until next time, stay fabulous,
