The glow up has begun, with Valentine’s (or Galentine’s) Day over a week away, it’s time to start planning your outfit. It’s an excuse to get dressed up, there are so many styles to choose from, whether you’re planning a date night with your significant other or a girl’s night full of fun and pampering. There’s an outfit for both occasions, don’t let the process stress you out, your girl is here to help you with a few outfit inspirations. Some may find the traditional colours a bit cheesy, and overdone, but I particularly adore all the red and pink ensembles. There’s a selection to choose from, a mixture of textures ranging from velvet to mesh to lace. Styles with slits, sweetheart necklines and cut-outs, whatever you’re comfortable in, there’s a style for everyone, unless you enjoy pants, then sorry. Call me a romantic, what can I say. When it comes to colour, I’m currently loving everything mauve, clothing, accessories, and even shoes. It’s such a soft colour that exudes elegance. (Read my post on how to style: a mauve jumper here). Dresses are usually go-to for dressing up, they have the ability to make us feel confident, glamorous, and a fashionista. What more could we ask for? If you’re more comfortable in trousers, a good power suit either in a bold colour or print also works well giving the same qualities as a dress. Let the suit do the talking by keeping the accessories to a minimum and pair with barely-there heels in nude or black. For the dress lovers, here are a few ideas how the dresses above could potentially be styled. How would you style the dress if it were up to you?
