Another star-studded event, but what’s got my attention? The red carpet looks and style inspirations. The Oscars had many starlets dripping in glamour from head-to-toe, some of my favourites of the night were Naomi Watts (Armani), Elizabeth Banks (Ralph & Russo), Rachel McAdams (August Getty), Olivia Munn (Stella McCartney), and finally Priyanka Chopra (Zuhair Murad). The timeless and classic looks were beautiful, the general theme was light dresses that lasted the whole night, with natural make-up, sounds exactly like my style – simple and chic. All the ladies look absolutely stunning, I’m inspired by their minimalist styles that I want their gowns to myself.
When it comes to the minorities were not represented in an equal quantity in comparison to our Caucasian counterparts, hence why a few household names are missing from the occasion. Despite this being said. Priyanka Chopra and Mindy Kaling represented Asians on the red carpet flawlessly in their classy long train gowns. Subtle detailing on the gowns, with a mixture of textures and styles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From crazy to stylish attire, many have been questioning why all the heroines choose to play it safe on the red carpet? I particularly enjoyed the elegance that all the stars embodied rather than opting to be a media spectacle. Let’s not relive 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, where Lady Gaga showcased her meat dress. Another highlight of the event was Leonardo DiCaprio finally winning an Oscar, and his award-winning speech was incredibly insightful. Kendrick did justice at the Grammys, Beyoncé owned the Super Bowl, now it’s time for Leonardo DiCaprio to shine. Loving the creative performances, eagerly awaiting what is yet to come, what was your favourite part?
