#BlogConLDN Roundup

Adventures, who doesn’t love them? #BlogConLDN passed this weekend, an event created by the lovely Scarlett London. With many in attendance, it was definitely a success, there were opportunities to network with upcoming brands, partake in masterclasses and take beautiful photography (or selfies, depending on your preference). My day began by meeting a few bloggers beforehand as the concept of attending alone was quite daunting, plus it’s great to network in smaller groups. We decided to meet up around Waterloo, our first destination was Slug and Lettuce, a place I need to visit again in the near future. The interior was relaxed chic and I was obsessed with it all, plus the hot chocolate was delicious as well. We then headed towards the Royal Festival Hall where we met the rest of the bloggers in our group. Once everyone arrived, our mission to blog con began, though we may have lost a few on our journey there. As we checked in at the reception and made our way upstairs, the excitement increased. It was great to be surrounded by like-minded individuals bonding over a shared passion.

Blogging isn’t about statistics, events, or even the followers (though I may get caught up in that world at times), for me, it’s a platform where I can spread messages of positivity and empowerment. Some of the brands that attended echoed the ethos of female empowerment, which I adored. The founder of beauty brand Merumaya expressed her reason behind starting the company and the core values that the brand embodies – beauty without the BS. It was great to meet the Chi Chi team especially as I’m obsessed with their clothing, a brand full of beauty and grace. This charm continues into the world of skincare, I was recently thinking about my non-existent beauty routine, unsure of what products to get to tackle the oiliness on my skin. Networking with various skincare brands, I now have a structure and a few samples to begin my journey to better skin (and hopefully hair). Recently I’ve been adoring the pastel colour palette, whilst on the topic of hair, my peers and I received the chance to try on wigs from Sleek Hair. Prior to this, I was thinking of buying a lilac or dusty pink wig, as I wanted an alter-ego for blog photography, YouTube videos and occasionally in real life. The commitment of altering my real hair colour seemed too much, whereas a wig seemed like the ideal solution which solidified after trying a few on. Overall the event was a success for me personally, I made new blogger friends, met one of my favourite bloggers - Charlotte Jones - and networked with upcoming brands.

Did you attend #BlogConLDN?

Until next time, stay blessed and classy,

  1. Yes! I attended BlogConLDN too and I met Charlotte lol.

This is a great write up. I'm really looking forward to trying the cocktail mixer lol but I've been using the Exuviance skincare products pretty much everyday since Saturday and I'm loving them! The peel off gel mask and moisturer are great.

It's so interesting to read another persons perspective - I thought the event was really good :) (& I did a vlog/recap thing here, would love to know your thoughts -> https://youtu.be/aBCx5qxXMWg)
