Blogmas | Christmas Tag

As we give presents at Christmas, we need to recognize that sharing our time and ourselves is such an important part of giving. - Gordon B. Hinckley

'Tis the season to be jolly, speaking about everything Christmas always gets me excited. I thought today would be a perfect occasion to participate in a Christmas Tag, allowing my readership to learn more about the blogger behind MusicGeekOnline. Let me know if you relate to any of my answers.

Let's get straight into it, what's your favourite Christmas movie(s)?
That's a good question, there are so many great films but the one I watch annually without fail is Home Alone. It's a classic, comedic with a strong sense of family, and spreading the magic of Christmas.

Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Always on Christmas morning, when I was younger I'd be the first to wake up and run around my house waking everyone up so we could all open our gifts. As I've become older I still have the excitement to open presents, but I also adore sleep, you can't blame me really. A warm, cosy bed on a cold winter morning even you wouldn't want to leave.

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

My favourite Christmas memories usually involved a house of family and guests. Now, my family has moved away, with everyone residing abroad Christmas has become an intimate time to bond with my parents.

What's your favourite festive food?

Aside from the chocolatey treats, I would have to say the roast potatoes, they taste divine during dinner, that I have to ask for more.

What's your favourite Christmas scent?

It would have to be the scent of spices in the air, whether it's cinnamon, nutmeg, gingerbread, vanilla. My home is usually full of these scents either through baking sweet treats or lighting a few candles, either way, it's a great welcome into my humble abode.

What tops your Christmas tree?

A bright silver star. After decorating the rest of the tree, I always got the honours of placing the star in its rightful place, which was on top of the tree.

As a kid what was the one gift you always asked for but never received?

Every year I would ask for a puppy, and each year I was disappointed, but I would quickly forget once opening my gifts. I'm still waiting for my little puppy, I just need to get my own place first, don't think my parents would appreciate a puppy in their home.

What’s the best part about Christmas for you?

That's easy, it would be spending quality time with my loved ones. After eating dinner we usually watch Fawlty Towers, as we all love comedies and I received the box set one Christmas when I first discovered the show. We're a family full of laughter and joy, who are embracing the good vibes of the holiday season.

Until next time, stay blessed and classy,
