OOTD | Elegance (LFW Edition)

I have always believed that fashion was not only to make women more beautiful, but also to reassure them, give them confidence. — Yves Saint Laurent

London Fashion Week (LFW) is here in full swing, I got the opportunity to cover it on behalf of Bonafide Supernova, read my all my articles on their official website, well three to be specific. When anyone refers to LFW you think glamour, forward thinking styles, and chic designs, so for the first day I decided to opt for a glam inspired outfit. Especially as I have been working so much, I haven't been had much of a social life, hence glamour was at the top of my list when I was getting ready. A small confession, the rain in the morning had me contemplating whether to change, however despite the wet start I persevered, and brought my fierceness to the catwalk.

On to the outfit itself, I wanted to take a minimalistic approach, bringing more attention upon the statement piece I was wearing which was a cream bodycon dress that my mother purchased from Miss Selfridge. She wore the piece to my graduation, and looked flawlessly elegant, might I add this was the first time I saw her in a bodycon dress, that's usually my go to style, imagine my surprise. I paired the dress with gold accessories, thin hoop earrings, a infinite necklace and watch, all from Primark. I find Primark has a range of jewellery for most occasions, the simplicity of each item I choose added to the glam factor of the outfit. Finishing off the outfit were a classic pair of black wedges with gold detail at the front from New Look.

I love having my hair down and curly, but to add a sense of sleekness to the ensemble I decided to opt for the classic braid, in my opinion added to the elegance of the outfit, even a ponytail can work here, just keep it slick and neat. To complete the outfit I added a black duster coat (from Cut Label) and handbag (from Primark). I naturally like dark colours, so of course I would work some into the outfit. As for make-up I used all nude shades, keeping it relevant throughout the day, I'm not one for dramatic make-up besides the odd red lip.
