Bank Holiday Treat #CoconutQueen

Thrift shopping is really just an extension of me being that same kid and going into a place that's completely unconventional that has really endless possibilities in terms of outfits that you can put together and really just expressing yourself. - Macklemore

It's no secret that we all enjoy a bit of shopping, but be careful about what you associate yourselves with. Different fashion styles have connotations given to them by society, for example we tend to identify goths with rock, aggression, and loads of piercings. We get pigeon-holed into believing there's a right and wrong way of expressing ourselves. Usually looking down upon the working class, we're shaped into believes that may not be 100% our own.

When it comes to style, I tend to have two dress codes either timeless chic, or ghetto comfort. I dress depending on my mood, and my activities for the day. Sometimes I just want to rock trainers, hoodies and be comfortable running my errands. However, other days I wish to dress up, in modern Audrey Hepburn inspired outfits.

Sticking with the theme of classiness, I'd love to introduce you all to Coconut Lane; a brand who specialise in chic homeware and fashion accessories through merging class, sass, and a pinch of badass into their demeanour. I absolutely adore all the products that they have to offer. I recently upgraded my phone and needed a case, they had a great range to choose from, from sassy quotes, to patterns, to chic designs - perfect for any occasion. The best part about it? You don't even need to leave your room, you can shop from the comfort of your home, in those cosy pyjamas you love wearing, or is that just me?

If that wasn't enough to convince you, might I add they have bright colourful pieces to share with pen pals. I enjoy making new friends, getting to know more about individuals and cultures, so I like writing snail mail and sending it all over the world. Coconut Lane even accommodates this interest with varies styles of postcards, stickers and stationary. I couldn't resist but buy the emoji stickers, so now I can speak in emojis in my letters as well, it's no longer a digital expression.

For added detail my favourite high street shop is Accessorize, if you're similar to me then you'll adore Coconut Lane, I honestly just wanted to purchase the whole website. From the statement necklaces that have cultural connotations attached to them to friendship bracelets. I know where I'm going to shop for presents the next time I see my besties, I hear surprises are great, so why not.

As bank holiday weekend is upon us, I have a treat for you all, in collaboration with Coconut Lane, I'd love to give you all a 20% discount, simply use the promotional code musicgeek20 at the checkout anytime, it's as simple as that.

Stay blessed and classy,
