You're All The Same, Where Is Papa? (Stromae - Tous Les Mêmes)

We are afraid to care too much, for fear that the other person does not care at all. - Eleanor Roosevelt

Music has no borders, if the artist is articulating an interesting message through their content on an emotive instrumental, I will give it a chance, find the meaning of the song and understand it better. Do not allow language to be a barrier, embrace the culture around the world, it is beautiful. Today we take a trip to France, with successful French artist, Stromae, who creates phenomenal songs about different issues within society, with theatrical visuals to accompany the audio.

French singer, Stromae speaks about the issues regarding relationships, all the same (tous les mêmes) and we're fed up. From the perspective of a female, the first line simply states all guys are the same (vous les hommes êtes tous les mêmes) cheap, predictable and unfaithful, although lucky that women love you so dearly, say thank you to us, since you don't actually deserve us. Saying it is easy to say we're sentimental and that we love to gossip, yet you still cannot stay away from us. Complaining about mother nature, but no no no, what you call my periods are important, since you know life is for having children, but as usual, it's not the right moment. Oh, of course you're present to make them, but raising them you're absent. Où êtes-vous papa? You need to learn responsibilities, do not make a woman a mother if you do not plan to stick around to make her your wife or help with your child, it emotionally effectives the child, wondering if they were the reason papa left. Prendre la responsabilité et être un role model.

Until next time, stay blessed and classy,
