- Notify your nominees!

Let’s roll, question time:

1. What is your favourite blog to read at the moment?
At present, I currently love the works of Suli Breaks. His daily poetry posts on various topics that we can all relate to, and find inspiration. He created the Millennial Generation Manifesto (#MGM) so that our generation has a voice that is heard and considered.

2. Which tv show are you hooked on right now?
Before Eye Candy and Empire ended, they were my two main series to watch, both new, with only one series. Eye Candy was about a tech genius who persuaded by her roommate to begin online dating but then suspects one of them is a deadly cyber stalker/serial killer and teams with her friends to find the culprit. The protagonist is also on the hunt for her little sister who went missing three years prior. Empire, on the other hand, is a music and entertainment mogul who is in search for a successor for Empire Entertainment among his three sons.  The show speaks about different relatable topics that show clear binary oppositions such as the debate about mental health, sexuality, establishing an identity after prison, female empowerment etcetera.

3. Who is your biggest inspiration?
This may sound cliché but my biggest inspiration would have to be my mother. She is a woman who shows great strength, solutions and wisdom. She never fails to cheer me up and inspire me about some element of life. Everything I do is to make this woman proud and to give back since she has given me the world.

4. How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I came up with the name MusicGeekOnline (MGO) as a persona for myself. I am an aficionado of music and knowledge on an online platform, whether that be on blogger or social media.

5. Which social media do you use the most and why?
Realistically I try to use all social media platforms equally but for different purposes. Twitter for short snappy thought provoking, lyric reciting, quotespirational tweets. I use Facebook for sharing pieces of news. Instagram for connecting with others whilst having a solid profile which reflects both my personality and insightful blog. Pinterest as a form of getting to understand the being I am through picture selections and boards creations.

6. What is your greatest achievement so far?
Personally, I cannot recall my greatest achievement, however, a recent achievement that I am quite proud of was being involved with the Revolution House Event, I was in charge of recruiting artists, scheduling the acts (before and on the night of the event) and promoting the event. Everything went smoothly and confirmed that I was heading in the right direction for my career - I experienced the world of events and it seemed appealing especially when music was involved.

7. If you could change one thing about the world what would it be?
If I could change one thing, I would somehow irradiate greed. The majority are driven by greed, there seems to be a growing increase in inequality. The top 1% of the adult population owns 48% of the global personal wealth, in comparison to the bottom 50% who own less than 1% of the global personal wealth. (Source: Credit Suisse Research)

8. Which of your blog posts are you most proud of?
I would have to say I am proud of Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly and International Women's Day (Beyonce - Flawless ft. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie), in my humble opinion, I believe that both are interesting reads, but I'll let you comment on that, haha.

9. Which item in your wardrobe can you not stop wearing?
I would have to say my jeans because they can be dressed up or down, no matter the occasion, they're appropriate and available in various neutral colours.

10. What is your favourite place you have visited?
My favourite would have to be India. There is a different mindset in the east when I usually visit I'm surrounded by such happiness it makes me forgot about such trivial problems back home in the UK. I feel a sense of ease, almost serenity. I remember one evening I was out on the roof of our house overlooking the fields and thinking to myself that life is truly so simple and we as individuals create stress and struggles for ourselves. Better yet visiting family that I haven't seen in years and being basked in such affection and seeing how everyone has grown, accomplished things in life - it can be a fun yet emotional roller coaster.

11. Is there anything you do not like about blogging?
A problem I have is creating too much content for my blog yet not promoting posts and the blog regularly. The ratio is 80% promotion, 20% creation of content. I am still figuring out a balance for this.
